How many birthday party options do you offer?
I offer two core birthday party options suitable for the age range you specify: The 50-minute MAGIC PHILIP Fun Show & the 2-hour Stress-Free MAGIC PHILIP Fun Party Package. If you need something special created for your event, however, I have been doing birthday parties for many years & have a lot of different ideas that we can work into the mix.
What is the content of each show?
The MAGIC PHILIP Fun Show lasts 50 minutes & is full of fun, comedy, puppets & lots of Magic. Your child will be the star of the show. The MAGIC PHILIP Fun Stress-Free Party Package starts with the MAGIC PHILIP Fun Show & continues after party tea with a Happy Birthday sing along, non-elimination party games & a special Magic Finale for the Birthday child. I host the party for the full 2 hours in the Stress-Free option. As this will be such a memorable event for your child, please feel free to take as many photographs as you like. You may like to video some of the show, that’s fine. No need to bring in extra chairs as the children will sit on the floor. Adults are welcome to sit in & enjoy the show.
How far do you travel to do a birthday party & do you charge travel expenses?
I’ve done birthday parties all across the North West of England. The price I quote includes all traveling expenses. My main performing area is Manchester, Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire, Derbyshire & Yorkshire.
How much space do you need for the typical birthday party?
With most birthday party shows, I’m performing in a living room or in a church or village hall. I just need a little area in front of me for the routines where I have volunteers come forward. I am flexible & adaptable so do not worry!
Do you need me to provide a table?
No. I bring all my own equipment – table, sound system, everything. Total set up time is about 15 minutes, so we’re ready to roll almost as soon as I arrive. My goal is to make this birthday party totally easy for you.
How much are your various birthday party options?
My core birthday party option starts at £205. If you need a customised package outside the 2 hour framework, I will work to create one that works for you.
Can you include take-home presents?
If you don’t want to hassle with shopping around, deciding what to include, spending an hour or more stuffing goodie bags, & then having a bunch of extra bits of plastic left over at the end, I can provide take-home balloon presents for your birthday party. I only charge you for the balloons you use, so there’s no wasted time or money. I take care of this for you for just £1 a balloon. Quality Magic sets are £10 each & Magic wands can be given to your party guests at £1 each. Fab party bags are £2.95 each.
What balloon sculptures can you make?
The Birthday child receives a large fantastic balloon sculpture which no one else receives. Depending on the theme of the party, flowers & Star War light sabres always seem to bring smiles to the children at home-time.
My child is scared of clowns. Are you scary?
I will appear at your party dressed in dark trousers, colourful shirt & giant badge. Safe. Fun. And totally non-scary at all.
How much experience doing children's birthday parties do you have?
I have performed professionally for more than 25 years all across the United Kingdom. In the 1990s I was trained by professional entertainers on exactly what it takes to make children laugh while being amazed. Since then I have done literally thousands of shows for families & family events. I continue to invest in myself & my show & now lecture & teach fellow entertainers.

But aren't all birthday magicians / clowns the same? Why shouldn't I just keep calling until I find the cheapest entertainer?
